Taytum Jones went 4-0 in round-robin play to capture the Boy’s 10 Green Ball single title at the Greens Smashers Tournament on Saturday.  Three other BCCTA students represented the Academy well as Gray Dillon placed third in Boy’s 10 Orange Ball, and Macy Hays and Kellen Hays each picked up hard-fought victories in the Girl’s and Boy’s 10 Green Ball divisions, respectively.

Tokara Henderson competed against the top players from Oklahoma in Girl’s 12 Singles and placed second in the USTA Champs State Closed Championships Saturday night at Earlywine Park in Oklahoma City.  Tokara then teamed with Edmond’s Jalen Larabee to bring home the Girl’s 10 Doubles title. The 11-year-old has competed in three Champs’ events in the 12’s age division thus far in 2019 and has compiled a record of 10-2, winning two titles and finishing runner-up twice.  She has played up an age group in the 14’s in three additional Missouri Valley events.

Parker Dillon made his debut in the Boy’s 16 Singles draw and competed to the end against some of the state’s top prep players; while younger brother John Paul Dillon qualified for his first USTA Champs Tournament, playing two competitive matches in the 12-and-under division.  Champs is the highest level of play offered on the USTA Junior Circuit.
